Fifteen Years of Familiar Faces

When Janette and Brian Beveridge walk through Amari Bangkok’s Club Siraa, they do so with the easy confidence of long-time guests returning to a place they know well.
They exchange warm smiles with the staff, nod at familiar corners, and slip seamlessly into a rhythm shaped by fifteen years of visits. Five times a year, often for two weeks at a stretch, the couple travel all the way from Edinburgh to stay in the same place.
For a pair who could choose from the world’s most exclusive hotels, the question is obvious: why Amari Bangkok?

The Spark That Started It
Their journey with Amari began with a personal connection. Having stayed at the Dusit Thani for years, they followed a trusted hotel director to Amari.
“Dusit Thani was fabulous,” Janette recalls. “But when the people we knew left, it just wasn’t the same.”
At Amari, it wasn’t marble lobbies or grand gestures that won them over. It was people. “The staff are always wonderful. We’ve never met a bad one. Always helpful, always welcoming.” That bond of trust, built guest by guest, became the foundation for a relationship that outlasted even the most polished luxury brands.

Location, Location, Location
If warmth and welcome first drew them in, convenience sealed the deal. “The location is really good,” Janette explains. “I like to shop, and from here you can walk everywhere. Pratunam, CentralWorld, Siam, MBK. You don’t need taxis or tuk tuks.”
Over the years, the couple have become seasoned wanderers, weaving Bangkok’s streets into their personal map of memories. “Even after 25 years of visiting, I still find new things,” Janette says. For her, Amari’s prime location isn’t just about being central—it’s about the ease of stepping out and discovering the city at her own pace.

Honest Conversations
What makes their loyalty all the more compelling is Janette’s candour. Having worked for an airline for two decades, she knows what world-class service should look like. She praises the spotless rooms, the attentiveness of favourite housekeepers like Khun Noi, and the thoughtful trainee staff.
At the same time, she doesn’t shy away from pointing out areas that could be better. For her, being honest is part of what makes the relationship with Amari genuine. “I’m very into customer service,” Janette says. “I know what’s simple to do, and sometimes it’s difficult here. But still, we always come back.”
Her feedback is not rejection, but proof of investment. After all, you only critique what you truly care about.

A Place Without “Favourite Memories”
When asked about their favourite memory of Amari Bangkok, Janette pauses. “I can’t think of anything obvious,” she admits. “Because every stay is the same, it’s always good.”
Far from being a dismissal, this consistency is the secret. After fifteen years and hundreds of nights, the absence of a standout moment means there has never been a disappointment sharp enough to overshadow the whole. Instead, there has been a steady rhythm of comfort, trust, and belonging.

Looking Ahead
For the Beveridges, Amari Bangkok is more than a hotel. It is a fixture in their lives. So much so that they booked a room here for their daughter and son-in-law’s tenth anniversary celebration, and the couple did come in early 2026 and thoroughly enjoyed their time at the hotel.
Fifteen years of loyalty, constructive criticism included, tells a story no advertisement ever could: when people who could stay anywhere in the world choose Amari Bangkok, time after time, it says something powerful about what makes this place special.
